China's legendary past

Like a person, a country once conceived and born. In contrast to the man, China has not two, but three "parent". According to legend, there were three first emperors who united the scattered tribes and principalities. The ruler of Qin became Emperor of the West, the governor Zhao - Emperor of the Center, and the ruler of Yan - Emperor of the North. Qin Shihuang once attempted to unite all of China, and he did it. Trying to make his title more luxuriant, he assumed the name "Huang Di" ("august emperor"). Later this title carried all the rulers of China.

Many Chinese still believe that their ancestor was Huang Di, or the Yellow Lord. He is considered the founder of the state, and many crafts.

Huang Di started the greatest stories in the world, and continued it later formed a dynasty. There was a total of 24. The reign of each dynasty made something new in culture and science in China and elsewhere. Everyone knows that the invention of gunpowder, silk, paper, porcelain world owes it to the Chinese.

The first of the "dynastic" stories was compiled in 101 BC. e. the father of Chinese historiography by Sima Qian. It is still considered to be the first complete history of China and is entitled "Historical Records" ("Shiji"). Chronicle of dynasty ends with "History of the Ming Dynasty" in XIII-XVII centuries, and then dropped. The history of the last Qing dynasty wasn’t made up. The last emperor abdicated in 1912. In 1949, Mao Zedong proclaimed the emergence of the Democratic People's Republic of China.

Past of China scientist view:

Such is rief history of China according to the chronicles ancestors. Modern scientists, despite its Chinese superstition, still follow scientific explanation of its origin. According to archaeological finds, the oldest known ancestor of the Chinese is Sinanthropus, or "Peking Man", who lived about 500 thousand years ago. His remains were found in a cave in Zhoukoudian 40 km south-east of Beijing. Now this place has become one of the attractions China, opened to lovers of ancient history and its connoisseurs.

Came from the northeast synanthropes settled on the territory of modern China, and formed three cultures: the first and most significant - the northern, which covers most of the current Inner Mongolia and extended to the present Harbin in northern Manchuria, the second - the Western, which existed later in what is now Sichuan and finally, the third - Southern Culture on the territory of modern Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Of the two dominant cultures: Yangshao and Lunshan - the Neolithic er egins the formation of Chinese civilization. This period in the Yangshao culture has produced a variety of tools and weapons, as well as to cultivate rice. Lunshan settlement was a village or small town, often located at a distance of sight of each other, or on the tops of the hills adjacent to the river valleys. Houses were built of rammed earth and covered with chalk. The room even had a heated bench-like bed that currently exists in the homes of Northern China. Yangshao culture of ancient China inherited the use of blade bones of various animals for divination. On some bones found carved icons, which are considered to be precursors of Chinese writing.

The sensational discovery:

There is one more scientific, but rather even sensational, a look at the origin of the Chinese. Shanghai scientists from the Institute of Genetics analyzed the Y-chromosome in nearly 10,000 men from all parts of China and discovered the presence of the same "mutant product," as the representatives of the African race. It originated about 79 thousand years ago and is a hallmark of the inhabitants of the African continent. Head of Shanghai geneticists Professor Jin Lee said that "so far not found any Chinese, who would have missed this genetic trait." If this is true, it appears that the Chinese must originate Africans. Meanwhile, the majority of scientists hold PRC version that their ancestors were still Sinanthropus. As for ordinary people, many of them prefer the legend of the Yellow Emperor.

Modern History of China:

Modern China - are developing rapidly metropolises such as Beijing and Shanghai, with sprawling skyscrapers and business centers. As for the rural settlements on the outskirts of small towns and villages, particularly in mountainous areas, they are not far removed from the primitive way of life. Their inhabitants are still living in farming and animal husbandry, and the white man look like on an alien from outer space.

China's modern history began with the coming to power of Mao Zedong. The Chinese have opened a new page in its history, and the old remembered with reproach and even resentment. Driven to despair and hopelessness with the last emperor, people suffered to the end arbitrariness ruler. In the end, the poor management of the country, hunger, poverty and unprecedented population growth have resulted in the middle of XIX century to a grand rebellion and revolution. European powers attempted to force China to open up to European goods. This combination of pressure from inside and outside brought many hardships as the Chinese people and its government, but at the same time gave impetus to the formation of movements for social and political reform. The ultimate goals of the new government were proclaimed socialism and communism. In international affairs, China signed a strategic alliance with the Soviet Union. China, and to this day remains a communist country, and Russia - his loyal trade, economic and cultural partner and ally.

With all the current economic and political problems in the current situation of modern China is characterized by relative stability, dynamic economic development and a high degree of confidence of the international community. For the production of many crops (such as: meat, eggs, sugar, cotton, tea, etc.) China won the 1st place in the world. At the same time, 35 million Chinese still live in poverty, and 150 million - are illiterate.

The secret to happiness:

Despite this, ask any Chinese, happy he, and he would answer, "Yes." After all, happiness - not in money and not in their amount. Happiness - it's great wisdom that comes with age. You are sitting in a small public garden and playing dominoes with neighbors - this is happiness. Drink sweet green tea, brought faithful wife and mistress - and this is happiness. See how your children grow up and rise to their feet - is also happiness. And most importantly happiness is a life in harmony with itself. The Chinese do not need to prove that they are happy, talk about it their shining eyes. These eyes have a lot to learn. Probably why many tourists come every year to China - not only to see the sights, but also to learn the wisdom of life.
